Anthrocon has been pretty awesome, but I did not anticipate exactly how MUCH more walking I'd be doing, compared to the the cons I've been to before lol

Disney+ got me good today. I wanted to watch Coco. I was prepared for it to be emotional. What I was not prepared for was Disney+ suggesting a short called 'Far From the Tree' immediately after. It's got raccoons, I like raccoons. Why not? Raccoon-based GENERATIONAL TRAUMA that's why! 😭

This year's theme at @furrydelphia.org is Hoagiecon (like the Wawa sandwiches). I think this is a particularly appropriate theme for a furry convention, because we are a SUBculture.

Well, just signed up for Anthrocon! Very excited! I was foolishly too late to get the con rates for hotels but I had a few points saved up so that'll take some of the cost difference down lol.

My watch says over the 3 days of Fur The More con I did 34000+ steps and over 14 miles. This seems healthy, perhaps I should simply go to a con every weekend?

Physically leaving a con is a strange assault on the senses. You exit the colorful, noisy, joyful, energetic con space and descend into the gray industrial garage and the contrast is almost painful. It feels like an allegory for the contrast between the furry world and the regular one.

Headed home from #furthemore, thanks for a great time and a great 3rd con experience! So far leaving each con has been such a strange and melancholy experience. You know you are departing from the temporary neverland of the con, which already feels like home, and back into the real boring world.

Fur the More has been great! Had a lot of fun getting to talk to @mohrgears.bsky.social and @peppercoyote.bsky.social for a while. Both are so nice! ^^

The memorial for Dragoneer at Fur The More was really sad and genuinely beautiful! ❤️
