I've been asked about this paper (www.nature.com/articles/s41...) enough times that I finally had to read it. The basic claim is that mRNA vaccines had huge synergistic benefit with checkpoint blockade against lung cancer melanoma. tl;dr it's glam-slop & everyone involved should be embarrassed

One of the more in-depth pieces I've seen on how the abrupt switch to multi year funding is harming biomedical research. Luckily, the proposed FY26 Senate appropriations bill has protections against this. Just another reason why we can't have a CR that's a blank check.

So I think both attention and eye movements affect the ear. The study you mentioned doesn't consider how eye movements might be different in the attention task, but there is later work that does control eye movements and still finds affects of attention in the ear. V. exciting!

I don't understand how this paper has under 200 citations. The implications are critical for our understanding of cross modal integration. This should be a whole area of research, exploring the time course, load effects, etc. There's a whole series of careers lined up like tee balls here.
