Certain headlines seem to be talking about more snow but the forecast doesn't seem to agree.

All change in our weather this weekend as the cold air gets pushed away to be replaced by milder, cloudier and wetter conditions from the Atlantic.

Less cold for this weekend. We lose the biting northerly flow as a low pressure moves in from the Atlantic. There will be rain and blustery winds at times, so quite a change.

If you are out early this weekend, it will feel cold especially in the wind on Saturday. There will be sunshine until rain arrives from the Atlantic through Sunday and a more mixed outlook from west for next week.

The high pressure is firmly in place with a lot of cloud. Breaks did appear for some at the weekend and high ground across the UK is poking out from the cloud cover into fine autumn sunshine, above the inversion.
