After a cold start this week, milder air is on the way for Wednesday night. Winds will strengthen with bands of rain from the west. Gales as a large low moves closer in the northwest.

After a quiet & chilly start to the week, it looks to turn milder but also windier & unsettled from Thursday, potentially stormy next week, as a very strong zonal jet stream over the Atlantic takes aim at the UK and Ireland.

Certain headlines seem to be talking about more snow but the forecast doesn't seem to agree.

Temperatures will fluctuate with a cool northerly bringing rain showers to start, the frosty nights but sunshine by day. A milder spell on Thursday with blustery winds.

On 20 November in both 2024 and 2025, Britain experienced near identical temperatures amid Arctic air. However, December's outlook is very uncertain as an early stratospheric warming event looms on the horizon.

All change in our weather this weekend as the cold air gets pushed away to be replaced by milder, cloudier and wetter conditions from the Atlantic.

A wintry mess on the #NetweatherRadar this morning, as the #rain, #sleet and #snow clears southeast, leaving colder temperatures, sunshine and some wintry showers in its wake.

A look at the midweek snow areas around the UK as the cold northerly bites. Clear skies mean sunshine by day but the risk of ice and frost by night. It feels colder in that wind.

Rain, sleet and hill snow spreading south today, clearing in the morning to cold sunshine and coastal wintry showers until the weekend, when it turns less cold, with chance of rain. Potentially turning very wet and windy in the south early next week.

With this cold Arctic air, yes there is snow in the forecast. Some areas will see plenty of wintry showers brought in on the North wind. Very little for others.

It will feel chilly in the wind, even with stunning sunshine. The cold Arctic flow will allow a lot of fine, dry weather with some showers but overnight frost and the risk of ice. Quite a change this week.

Storm Claudia brought exceptionally wet weather yesterday, causing flooding in parts of England and Wales. A cold snap will follow from Monday as northerly winds set in, bringing snow to Scotland and north-east England.

The end of the week sees a balancing act of cold Arctic air from the north against the mild air in the south with heavy frontal rain inbetween. The rain and wind will ease on Saturday but the cold air will wind out. Snow next week for northern Scotland.

More wet weather as flow moving frontal bands add more rain to saturated ground in parts of England and Wales. Further north, Arctic air will set in with frost, wintry showers, a bit of mountain snow and a cold NE wind.

November 2025 has brought two typhoons to the Philippines, first Kalmaegi followed by Super Typhoon Fung-Wong on Sunday 9th with over a million people evacuated.

A collision between cold northern air and mild Atlantic conditions could bring very wet weather to parts of Britain in about a week's time, with considerable uncertainty over which areas will be wettest. Colder weather may follow.

Low pressure will never be too far away to the west through the weekend and next week, so there will be further spells of rain at times, but also some drier and brighter weather. But it will remain very mild for the time of year day and night.

WIth temperatures in the mid to high teens, it has been very mild for early November. It won't be cold by the weekend, just not as mild with a mixture of bright spells , clusters of showers and Atlantic rainbands.

Many will see a fine and mild Bonfire night as frontal rain moves north over Scotland. With a supermoon, there are flooding concerns along some coasts. Other parts are soggy after this week's rain.

Hurricane Melissa has caused devastating damage in Haiti and Jamaica, claiming an estimated 52 lives and reaching a record low pressure of 892mb. The storm is now transitioning to an Atlantic low, whilst Britain faces another unsettled week.

There will be clusters of showers on Friday for some unlucky souls out on Friday evening. Overall a lot of clear, drier #weather although still breezy. Heavy rain later from the southwest so get a move on with your #Halloween japes.

Western Jamaica suffered catastrophic damage as Category 5 hurricane, Melissa moved by on the 28th. Next across Cuba on the 29th and now authorities and communities have to recover.

Later this week there will be windy weather across the UK as a deepening Atlantic low moves closer. Showers and sunny spells at the weekend before ex-Melissa throws rain our way.

There will be regions across the UK this week, blighted by blustery showers or frontal rain but then sunny, fair zones. The cold air in the north will hang on but it's milder in the south, away from the rain bands.

Jamaica is preparing for the onslaught of Major Hurricane Melissa, Monday into Tuesday before eastern Cuba. This cat 5 cyclone will bring destructive winds and catastrophic flooding.

Melissa has become a hurricane and is expected to rapidly intensify before making landfall over Jamaica early next week, possibly as a category 4. Cuba next in Melissa's sights after it leaves Jamaica.

If you are out early this weekend, it will feel cold especially in the wind on Saturday. There will be sunshine until rain arrives from the Atlantic through Sunday and a more mixed outlook from west for next week.

Storm Benjamin brought wind gusts of 90-100mph across northern France this morning. Gales for a time in eastern England today, then a cold northerly flow sets in into the weekend, bringing a colder feel and some showers in places.

As the wet and windy weather of midweek clears away, it will leave the UK in a colder northerly flow for Friday and Saturday. It will feel chilly with snow showers for the Scottish mountains.

Anticyclonic gloom will give way to unsettled conditions this week, with potential gales Thursday/Friday as a deep low approaches. A cold snap follows next weekend with northerly winds and frost.
