No real Union Omaha news this week, so I won’t be putting anything out. Next week includes the STM event and kit reveal on Thursday (5 March) so I may hold off until next weekend unless some other news drops. But we’re inching closer to the season. I can’t wait!

While there is still confusion in the air, we're now hearing from multiple affected parties that the draft idea will not proceed, and players will hit free agency with three months of severance pay. But with 12 days remaining in preseason, most rosters are all but full at this point.

This was a good episode leading up to the season, especially considering how hard it is to get preseason friendly info in this league. And yes, I may like to hear myself talk, but I do dislike the sound of my own voice. It’s still fun doing these types of things for other USL Sickos!

Some discussion of Sami Guediri here as he tries to fill Charlie’s boots this season. It mentions Younes Boudadi as a balance on the right, but we need CBs Sam Owusu to keep trending up and Blake fully returning to form, or we might not see Sami’s full talents. Yes, Brent has a huge role, too.

This just makes me want a college football stadium themed mini-golf course. Can you imagine your putts ending on the 50 of Boise’s blue turf? Or having to doink the ball in the cup in a replica Fiesta Bowl? Or teeing off from Toledo’s canon into Glass Bowl Stadium? We need some investors, I think.
