Just started playing Death Stranding on the PS5. I know I'm a few years late to the party but it is quite unlike any game I've ever played. I'm still only a few hours in and still not entirely sure what's going on but it's utterly captivating, mysterious and beautiful.

So, it turns out that my mother in law had an infarction in the left lobe of the brain. A narrowing of the blood vessels causing a lack of oxygen in a specific area. Not quite a stroke, not quite a clot. Subsequent investigation revealed the cause to be meningitis! Did not see that coming!

2/2: A few seizures complicated matters. All meds now finished. Waiting for her to wake up from the sedation and see what state she emerges in. We can only hope for the best.

1/2: Hour eleven in the ED. Mother in law is very unwell with some sort of neurological problem. She became very confused and disoriented which quickly escalated to a complete inability to recall names, dates, faces etc and borderline catatonia. CT scan revealed no stroke or obvious cause.

Soph got to meet Graham Coxon and Rose Elinor Dougall after a show tonight. They recognised her from their socials and hers. It's like meeting the Beatles for her.

It they showed the Melania movie on an airplane in flight, the audience would still walk out.

The kid went and saw the ABBA Voyage show in London. Absolutely amazingly unbelievably good and several other superlatives were used to describe it.

Happy 19th birthday to my amazing daughter. She'll be celebrating with her friends with a picnic on Hampstead Heath, then a visit to the Tate Modern and then the pub! 🎂🥂🎉🇬🇧

Just been to the Vivienne Westwood/Rei Kawakubo exhibition at the NGV. Absolutely stunning. The amount of pieces on display is almost overwhelming. Talk about iconic though. Pics to follow.

Just filled a 6 cubic metre skip with assorted detritus from the garage and I don't think I've even made a dent. It will probably look better once things are back on shelves and stored away. A lot of my late father in law's things to sort through. The man had a lot of tools, manual and powered.

At the airport about to put my daughter on a flight to London. It's her first time on a plane, let alone out of the country. She's got cousins and friends all over the UK so she'll have plenty to see and do for the month she's there. I'm so happy for her. What an adventure.

It seems like all I've done this week is drive everyone else everywhere else.

A set of five ceramic spice containers in the shape of little books. So cute!

Lastly, a set of four Nylex canisters. I admit that I may have gone a little overboard on this trip canister wise. I also admit that I didn't give adequate thought as to where they're all going to be stored or displayed. It's a good thing that they all fit inside the biggest one of each set!
