i think one of the biggest flaws in blizzard storytelling is just revealing the whole plot of a patch long before it becomes playable not just through the public test realm but also through Just Telling You The Whole Damn Plot in the gameplay trailers

I don't think people truly understand the implications of Xal'atath's unique model. She was not wearing that outfit when she started piloting that corpse, meaning that someone tailored it for her and the toe ring is a conscious fashion choice.
