Lindsay got his big boost to the Senate in 2002 because he served as the lead prosecutor for the Clinton Impeachment trial in 1999. It is amazing how in less than 30 years those events were memory holed.

It’s one of the true pleasures of the job - historians get to skip the whole “this isn’t the time” commentary and have at it. Graham was a plague on the Senate, a chickenhawk, and one of the most accomplished hypocrites in this country’s recent history.

Maybe we should remember Lindsey Graham the way Fox News is remembering him this morning. For his rabid defense of Brett Kavanaugh during his confirmation hearing. Never forget: Graham’s speech helped push Kavanaugh across the finish line and onto the Supreme Court.
