It’s interesting to read first novels to get a ✨glimpse✨of how far legends have come. This one has… y’all quite a number of no-no’s that King has posted in his memoir not to do but what amazes me about it, as I read through this, the HEART behind the story is still, truly, King. That’s fucking cool.

Been gone a while to recover from surgery!! An aggressive autoimmune condition took all my hearing on my left side and we put in a cochlear implant so I can hear again. Still dealing with pain and pressure, but i’m looking forward to a new chapter 💕

After three weeks of mourning my ability to do right by my manuscript, it feels good to finally open it again. It feels even better to cut 4500 words from early chapters with revisions. Hellbook now has a sharper blade ✨

We visited Hemingway’s house. I’m not even a fan of his work, but he’s a spectacle, so why not? His writing room was separate from the main house, only accessible from his bedroom balcony. His own little refuge where he lost track of time. Yep that’s a real cat sleeping on his chair.

I didn’t get a SINGLE moment to myself during the entire holiday but I cracked open my decks and I’m going to kick 2025’s ass.

2024 was a year of big goals and hopefuls. I can say I managed to complete two short stories (which!! is a big deal!!! for submission!!), illness stole everything else. And that’s okay. Some years are not “good” writing years, but a year taking care is a good year spent. #writingcommunity

Been fighting my autoimmune disease for 5 days at a hospital. I’m out and back at work, but exhausted. Behçet’s disease. Took two months of pain and dehydration for them to get to the root of it. Lucky me!!

Latest 🍁spooky fall read 🍂 I read MASTERS OF DEATH by Olivie Blake and shit it was an amazing first impression for me. Witty dialogue and hilarious, I would compare this most with Terry Pratchett if he was more detailed. Brilliant. #amreading

Omg these are up there on my top favorite reads for 2023. I am super late to the game, I know, but the characterization and the lore is simply *chef’s kiss.* I usually don’t like war novels, but for some reason I love these.

Main character math is falling hopelessly in love but taking another hundred pages to tell the other MC.
