Israel has dropped charges against soldiers accused of sexually assaulting a Palestinian detainee, despite evidence. These violations must be recognised as gender-based crimes under the Rome Statute. As domestic accountability fails, the ICC must act.

On 2 March 2026, Iraqi woman human rights defender Yanar Mohammed was killed outside her home in Baghdad. We join the Women Human Rights Defenders International Coalition in condemning her assassination and call for an independent investigation and protection for OWFI members and other defenders.

Four years since Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine, survivors of conflict-related sexual violence still face stigma and barriers to justice. Our co-authored report "Sexual Violence and Stigmatisation of Victims" outlines concrete steps to strengthen survivor-centred responses in Ukraine.

New report from Physicians for Human Rights and the Global Human Rights Clinic on reproductive violence in Gaza. The report concludes that attacks on health facilities, restrictions on medical supplies, and acute malnutrition amount to reproductive violence under international law.

We condemn this decision in the strongest terms and stand in complete solidarity with our colleagues at Al Haq, Al Mezan, and PCHR, who serve as lifelines for Palestinians struggling to survive and demand justice in the midst of ongoing genocide. Justice can't exist without those who demand it.

My government is now sanctioning three leading Palestinian human rights groups: (1) Al Haq Law in the Service of Mankind; (2) Al Mezan Center for Human Rights; (3) Palestinian Centre for Human Rights Utterly disgraceful.
