My favourite Allan Moffat moment that (almost) no one knows about. When HDT went belly up in 1987, Moff brought Brock's VL Commodore racecar, air freighted it to Europe, contested the first ever round of the World Touring Car Championship at Monza, and won.

Allan Moffat was so often portrayed as the black hat to Peter Brock's white knight, but by every account I've seen was exceptionally kind and generous person. Thoughts are with all those who were close to him. Vale.

There has been so much said in the last 24 hours about autism that has been incredibly hurtful, but nothing more than the implication that there is something wrong with me. As someone with ASD, I can say we need understanding, not a cure.

Been a while since we've put in a proper insipid performance, that's about the best thing i can say about this debacle.

That’s one way foreign governments can defend democracy. Weaken the regime, increase the chance internal opposition will emerge. Because the survival of democracy in the world is genuinely at risk, as it hasn’t been since the 1940s. Act like it.

But: the capacity of this regime to do violence, and its main defenders against internal attack, is ICE. That’s clearly the ideological troops. So foreign intelligence services need to scare ICE. These guys need to be doxxed, yesterday. /2

Look. This should already be happening: The only way the US can ever hope to be a democracy again is if this regime falls. That will not happen voluntarily. So democratic countries NEED to be trying to bring down the US Government. That’s not going to happen (soon) through open violence. But. /1

I can deal with the comma in place of a decimal point, e.g. 17,2 km, but 1.000.000,00 representing 1 million is strange and scary to me.

Continental Europeans keep the anglophone world constantly fighting about Celsius vs Fahrenheit to distract us from the real issue: their egregious use of the decimal comma and period thousands separator

Look that was far from pretty but in a season when many said we'll go winless, we've knocked off both Carlton and Essendon so everything is gravy.
