*Record Scratch* Freeze Frame. "You're probably wondering how I got here." I am one of the eight IGN members laid off. During my three years at IGN, I worked for some of the best creators and writers around. I will miss them all dearly.

I cried this morning because so many of my wonderful colleagues were laid off today, even after the success of IGN Live and Comic-Con. After today's layoffs, I am now the only social team member left in LA. How am I supposed to do my job?

Today, IGN laid off eight extremely valuable members of our union and workforce via directive from our parent company, Ziff Davis. This, after two incredibly successful live events IGN Live and SDCC, and yet another corporate acquisition. Please take a moment to read and share our full statement:

#TheFantasticFour: First Steps is fun! I wish we had more time with each of the characters, but they have A LOT of scary stuff to deal with in the movie. The 60s aesthetic is *chef’s kiss* and Michael Giacchino’s score is my favorite part of the movie. 🗣️ FANTASTIC FOUR 🎶

I saw The Naked Gun and I can now say they ARE making them like they used to! There are so many great jokes in this and you can tell the filmmakers had so much fun making an actual comedy movie. #NakedGun

#Superman is very weird in the best way possible. It’s the most “comic book” movie I’ve ever seen: it’s colorful, it’s funny, it has setpieces you wouldn’t believe. There is a true kindness in David Corenswet’s Superman and I can’t wait to see these characters again soon 🥹

Lilo & Stitch (2025) is a very very very cute movie and the pacing has a breakneck speed I was not expecting- it’s the most “cartoony” live-action Disney movie yet, which I loved!! It’s heartfelt, funny, and Stitch is classic Stitch. Also Maia Kealoha is INCREDIBLE. She IS Lilo.

I saw Thunderbolts* and I loved it so much. I was holding back tears during the whole thing. It’s funny, it’s dark, it’s FULL of action, and has everything else you love from a Marvel movie 🥹
