As if I needed another reason to feel right in my opinion that Reddit is and has been a shithole not worth spending a second of your time on. I don’t care if there are “some good communities/corners”; that’s literally the same argument as “not all cops”. The problem is the platform. Don’t use it.

But I have extreme doubt that would work. I'm willing to bet that the governments support decisions made by Visa and Mastercard. And even if they didn't, there's probably monetary reasons they wouldn't go after these companies.

The only way we could protest this is if we could somehow protest the payment processors themselves. But uh, hey, good luck to everyone who wants to move away from Visa and Mastercard. Move away to what exactly? The only other option is to somehow get the government to go after these companies.

While I agree with the sentiment that this really sucks, but people in comments need to understand: Fighting back against Visa and Mastercard is an extreme uphill battle. Itch will die without them. And they don't care if it does. What they gain from itch is a micropercentage. They are giants.
