Another for #roseWednesday now the season is really underway, this is ‘Gertrude Jekyll’. Early to flower, good scent and very reliable, it has previously been voted the world’s favourite rose. #gardening

This is ‘Blue For You’, a really beautiful standard, floribunda rose I put in this year. Different from all my other roses, the purple-mauve blooms fade to slate blue. It’s a real showstopper. #roseWednesday #gardening 🌱

This crabapple, Malus ‘Aros’, is a real impact plant. Leaves are bronze-copper with beautiful pink blossom giving rise to deep red/burgundy fruit which hold till the autumn. It’s columnar and tight so it fits in any space. I planted two in the garden a few years ago. #gardening #UKgardens 🌱
