I didn’t watch the SOTU speech with the “President” last night — as doing so would be a complete waste of my time — but I did catch the Spanberger response and I think she did a wonderful job. It’s nice to see an intelligent and coherent person address the nation for once.

I really like this guy and I hope he runs in ‘28. I knew he had what it takes when I watched him destroy David Perdue in that debate 5 years ago. Looking forward to hearing his ideas on prosecuting the Trump “cabinet” once he takes office. Maybe in international criminal court for war crimes.

ICE is likely paying a premium to get the deal through quickly. E.g., in Hamburg, PA, the warehouse was purchased in 2024 for $57.5 million and sold to ICE for $87 million. The real profit will come with the private prison companies and contractors hired to refurbish and staff these facilities.

ICE has now spent over half a BILLION dollars just on purchasing warehouses around the country to convert into detention camps. If these mega-camps are utilized to the full capacity ICE intends, they'll be the largest prisons in the country, with little real oversight. www.ajc.com/politics/202...
