A week until I depart for my 9th Games for Olympic Broadcasting Services, and my third-consecutive Winter Olympics. I am overjoyed to be heading to Milano Cortina to once again commentate all of the figure skating with my great friend, the incomparable @belindanoonan.bsky.social. I’m so excited!

Good grief. Now the conservative Coalition parties “Liberals” (not liberal) and “Nationals” (not national) have put their split of two days ago on hold. Immature is the kindest word I have. Idiots is more on point.

My take on the AUS Liberal/National Coalition split. Both are centre right and some MPs further right wing. Nats prioritise rural, Libs don’t (unless it’s fossil fuel/water/minerals to be sold. Women, climate, the vulnerable don’t seem to matter much to either party.

I’ve slowed down hugely on clicking on any Trump stories. Absolutely over him dominating news cycles. It’s boring and he backflips on most things. He is fast becoming yesterday.

According to SMH report - Rinehart says, "Coalition needs to embrace Trump-style policies." Nah. We had our say on that style two days ago. Gina is perfectly positioned to dig a few more holes. Not a hole I will be hopping in to.

The media blackout for the federal election (in Australia) can’t come soon enough. Won’t have to delete political text messages to my phone that you can’t block. I’m so over all of them. The choice to block these texts should be legislated.

First time I've put a poster on my fence. A year ago my federal MP Emma McBride's office went above & beyond to secure a passport for my newly born granddaughter to get from Hong Kong to her Auntie's wedding in Sydney. We were all very grateful for her assistance.
