Nassau Schools continue to see new objections to many of the same titles that were returned via the settlement. 34 new objections have been added to the district's database- submitted either by 34 different Nassau residents or the work of one parent. www.nassau.k12.fl.us/Page/5341

The original settlement agreement was reached in September of last year and approved by a judge in November. However, the law allows for these books to be in a perpetual state of objection/review at the whims of the most extreme viewpoints in the district. www.slj.com/story/Lawsui...

When I was a kid, around 1,800,000 people died every year of tuberculosis. Now, around 1,250,000 do. That's important progress. But at this current rate, it'll take a CENTURY to push TB deaths much below 500,000 per year. That's totally unacceptable for a curable, preventable disease.
