loading . . . Update 3: Massive Otherkin #5 Milestone · Otherkin #5 (Plus #1-#4) | Horror, Mystery, Shapeshifting I've got to be honest, we were scared for a moment. The way Kickstarter's algorithm works, campaigns should be getting 30-40% in the first 48 hours, because after that, things slow down (and sometimes freeze completely). We were are 12% at that point. We took it as a sign we should reach out to the community, gather feedback, and improve our social media communication.Ladies, gentlemen, and non-binary friends, Otherkin #5 is now 49% funded, growing steadily, and things will only improve as I officially enter the weekend and can put more focus on the campaign!Although that's great news, as it shows our campaign has legs, that's not the major milestone we wanted to share.Drum rolls, please! Otherkin #5 is completed! All story pages are fully colored, and lettering has been completed for English, French, and Brazilian Portuguese. Now, I'll focus on proofreading the comics and ensuring everything is up to standard; there are always a few nasty typos to catch. Once that's done, in the next couple of days, we'll be able to send review copies to press members. With positive reviews circulating — and we are confident reviews will be positive — more people will become aware of Otherkin and hopefully flock to our campaign. I'm extremely hopeful for the near future, and I couldn't be prouder of the work we've been doing. I also feel extremely grateful to already have so many people, most of them strangers, believing in this project. Thank you! Here's a sneak peek of a page we haven't revealed anywhere else yet:Tell us, how many of you have actually set foot into a LAN Center? Gosh, we're getting old!Lifeline Comics' Slice of Life Is on KickstarterThose of you who were around for the first campaign know we like to give a shout-out to other creators doing a good job. As it turns out, Lifeline Comics has recently brought out the second collected volume of Slice of Life to Kickstarter. Lifeline Comics has been around for years, making great indie comics a reality, and their focus on queer-centric productions makes them extremely important for the industry's diversity. If you are looking for something warmer to read between horror stories, here's the logline for Slice of Life:When gritty anime protagonist, Lady Vengeance, is brought to the real world by a super fan, she'll learn there's more to life than darkness and revenge...and she'll find love with the super fan's twin sister - a closeted cheerleader.https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/philfalco/slice-of-life-season-2-queer-webtoon-with-an-anime-twist/ https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/motherstouch/otherkin-5-plus-1-4-horror-mystery-shapeshifting/posts/4659798
