I don't know how I would survive without writing. It's the only thing where I feel like I have any control, power, or visibility. Now is a great time to cultivate and nurture the things that do this for you. It's okay to let the world bring you down, just don't let it keep you down.

Today’s micro book review: @zoewhittall.bsky.social’s Wild Failure kept me company on a red eye from YYZ to YHZ last night. There’s so much of what Whittall does best in these stories: queer ennui, hazy 90s nostalgia, characters you can instantly inhabit and invest in. A brisk, punchy read.
