Patk and ride C bus being only every 20 mins is hopeless, especially when they regularly cancel a service. Used to be every 12mins & needs to be 5 an hour to encourage people to use it & reduce traffic.

🏊‍♀️Labour Executive will tonight decide its fate. @dianafmoore.bsky.social ~ “Labour are washing their hands of Northbrook pool and users’ needs. They have never explored genuine options for working with the community and are just looking to sink a much valued community asset run down on their watch.”

Labour finds itself in deep water over its announcement to close Northbrook pool. They don't seem to thought about the consequences for the community.

Members of the public raise concerns: "It is a premature decision based on factual inaccuracies" "Council has shown a sheer lack of respect" "Many autistic & disabled children cannot cope with St Sidwell Point - the opportunity to learn to swim will not be available to many children in the area."

So in the end a recommendation to the Executive to work with the community & backing for my recommendation to explore the release of funds from a VAT refund to support a future for the pool. So we'll have to see what the Labour decide tomorrow: close the pool or seriously explore community options?

Before Council met, Tess Read & I chatted with the Save Northbrook Pool Campaigners. They presented petitions of > 2000 names to Council & asked questions about the importance & viability of the pool and shared personal stories.

Grateful for Council support, the housing crisis is complex, and needs so much action on many levels.

Today was much sunnier at #ExeterRespect festival! Lots of really interesting conversations at the @exetergreens.bsky.social stall. People took time to complete our broken housing market survey and tell us what they'd like Green Council to be doing!

Heritage Harbour Festival today at #Exeter Quay. Deck chairs should be a regular weekly feature! Fab fifties harmonies :) Good to talk to Civic Society... They're looking for suggestions for women to celebrate on a Blue plaque Love the weaving machine & one for my Dad who loved steam engines!
