Qué buena decisión tomé, pillándome el tomo de Spider-man de J. M. DeMatteis y Sal Buscema. No solo lo he disfrutado, es que me ha parecido muy interesante tener una idea global de la etapa, porque he podido averiguar por qué me gusta tanto el guionista: No es dado a escribir personajes perfectos.

Aun así, yo lo recomiendo. Sobre todo si te gusta el guionista, yo es que siento debilidad por sus inquietudes y conecta bastante conmigo. Además, Sal Buscema es un excelente narrador y transmite mucho en todos los números que dibuja. Se nota mucho cuando dibuja otro. Me encanta este Spiderman.

I don't want ANY new ROM, since no one will be able to do it the justice that Bill Mantlo & Sal Buscema did. But, if they did, i would rather a newly tormented ROM (but the same man) after some horrific reason forces him to make the choice (no choice, really) to give up half his humanity again.

Been thinking about Sal Buscema like many of you and paging through his work again. I’ve always loved his own inks, but Ernie Chan’s touch on these really stands out. The Buscema boys and Chan were a great combination.

Im conflicted, i feel like some artists draw it too big and it doesn't mesh too well with his face shape, what im saying is...I was never the biggest todd spidey fan I prefer the way Sal Buscema and Mark Bagley draw him a lot more, and I think small can work, they just have to be really narrow imo

It looks like the Secret Empire arc will wrap up neatly and provide a much-needed salve to readers in a disillusioned America. Steve Englehart was having none of that shit and Sal Buscema was the perfect artist for this moment:
