The early Sgt. Rock stories are surprisingly light on actual Nazis. Most stories in the DC Finest TPB deal with Easy up against faceless forces where the hook is "somehow the US soldiers persisted despite overwhelming odds." So I'm skipping ahead to the later stories that show more Nazi enemies.

Celebrating today by reading some stories of a time when the US fought *against* Nazis.

Watched Without Love last night & found it entertaining. The biggest surprise for me was seeing Lucille Ball as an amorous realtor as I only remembered her as the ditzy wife from I Love Lucy. She was quite a dish! Goes to show how attitude & swagger can really change a person's attractiveness.

There's a digital GN I want but I'm trying to avoid Amazon so I sampled it on other apps and they were all problematic: - Kobo - only formatted as two-page spreads - Google - didn't hide system time at top - Apple - weird faux page-edge formatting Sigh. Guess it's the Kindle version after all.
