Great study by an expert team showing that one of the polymerase genes (PB2) of the bovine H5N1 shows multiple adaptations to allow better interactions with the ANP32 protein of the host - so that (along with the HA changes) the virus replicates better...multiple steps of adaptation happening.

I am happy to share our latest publication (rdcu.be/dK4tA). Zika virus causes inflammation in the male reproductive tract. Our study reveals and characterizes a critical role of the CD8+ T cell response in clearing the virus and reducing testicular damage in long-term Zika virus infection models.
