i have been rewatching THE WIRE for the first time in like 15 years and one thing i am struck by in the first few episodes is how theater-like the show is. each scene plays like it could be on the stage, right down to the blocking and movement. but itās not at all distracting! it works, in fact.

Iām authoring legislation in California to allow people to use plug-in solar to reduce their electric bills. The monopoly utilities are fighting us. They donāt want people to be able to lower their electric costs, since that means lower profits. Our bill passed its first committee last week.
