Rewatching "The Blair Witch Project." Brilliant idea, so original. Aside from the urban lore & mythmaking aspect, the marketing was genius. "Curse of the Blair Witch" was a faux-documentary that aired months before the theatrical release. It blurred the lines of reality & fiction so well.

"Blair Witch Project" is up next! Filmed in our hometown in Gaithersburg, MD, much of the footage comes from Seneca State Park, where the actors were only given a rough outline of what was to happen. The reactions were authentic fear and confusion. A seminal found footage flick; coming soon!

Spooky season is upon us! Highly suggest checking out the 1988 cheese-classic Halloween horror flick, "Hack-o-Lantern." Hy Pyke gives a performance for the ages as a Satan-worshipping grandpa set on corrupting his grandson. So much nonsense: gratuitous nudity, non sequitars, & overacting galore.

Just watched first ep of the horror series "Marianne" on Netflix. Holy jeezus. Terrifying and unsettling. This is compelling horror with a deft touch by someone who knows how to do horror right. Only one jump scare in the first ep and still had me on the edge of my seat. Worth a watch for sure.
