New: The rumours of the storied Canadian kids TV / animation studio Nelvana shutting down are (partly) true. After winding down its existing contacts, production is now on pause, and the remaining staff will focus on managing / distributing its properties

Nelvana, one of Canada’s most biggest animation studios has reportedly shut down after 54 years. (1974-2025). Workers are saying the studio has closed down its doors last Friday.

UPDATE: WQED has denied the claims that they were "considering closure". This pretty much means they are not going to close down.. But regardless, to those in Pittsburgh, you should still support your local PBS station during these times. They need it.

Just got word that the Corporation for Public Broadcasting is officially going to be no more soon. Goddamn it dude, we live in a society where we have a guy in office who's more concerned about getting talked about on TV than actually doing what a true president would do. Smh.

The official 2003 site for Popsicle Minis ice cream used the Super Mario 64 intro sound, awkwardly cut off to make Mario say "It's-a m-" As this was not a Nintendo collaboration, this sound was likely used without permission.

I know the whole doc situation's old news by now and I know I should move on but believe me when I say this situation still haunts me and fills me with dread. I genuinely want to move on but I just can't knowing all the hits I got for it.. I just wish I wasn't influenced by that former friend..
