Finaly got around to making a good system for getting a readable text color for basically any background color. It also doesn't do the boring thing of: luminance > .5 = change color. So this also tints the text if it has enough contrast to still be readable. Video here: mstdn.plus/@Mint_Shock/...

Just updated SideChannels to fix some more issues. The turn can now only be forfeit by Agents of the team that has the turn currently. The turn now automatically ends if all markers were used. The Hint list display should also no longer break. This still needs to be playtested but should be fine.

Finished printing the #Resonite logo. Took a bit of finagling to print on my #Anycubic Kobra GO... Partially due to this filament being so brittle that the skirts kept ripping of the built plate... Would have been way easier to print big side down but this way I got a clean (ish) finish on outside.

How is it possible that a 200€ 3D printer is more reliable than a similarly priced 2D printer? just spent an hour debugging the Paper printer...

Made a little camera to take uniform pictures of avatars. Selectively renders only the avatar and adds a nice gradient background behind it. Color is chosen by 1 color picker. That color gets hue shifted a bit up and down to get the 2 colors. Very janky but it works. #Resonite #Avatar #Camera

Currently I'm reworking my Systems Manager Tree / List view to be easier to work with. Got a new Tree generation algorithm working now. also added support for System icons. The element Template also now uses Regestries to allow other Systems to add more Elements like buttons. #Resonite

I find it so interesting how non tech savy people like my mom are now considering to switch to Linux. the 3 questions she asked me were: 1. can I still use the internet 2. can I edit my word documents 3. can I print documents with our printer.

#Scribblenauts (DS) is way better than I remember it being. Would love to recreate something like that in #Resonite... Though that would require a lot of assets and a lot of manpower to label everything, create dictionarys and define behaviours...

I just switched from #Openvibe to #flare. It's open source, seems to be updated regularly. can basically do almost the same things Openvibe can but is also cross-platform (Android, IOS, windows and MacOS)

I'm surprised how well the AI Dialogue Leveler in Davincy resolve works. It was able to make everyone in a hectic 5 player playtest session be fairly understandable without mangling sound effects or tonality of the voices. This might be the first AI tool that does what it should...

Day 17 of #MMC. Today i added a nice little table under the board. This verry nicely ties the game together imo. The Table is also height adjustable for all the tiny critters. Day 15 of #MMC. I finally finished all the gameplay Systems. Gonna focus on visuals and more Words next. (Including special words like users in session)

On day 14 of #MMC I worked on the generation of the marker cards. As well as fixing a bug that crashed non host users if they submit a hint. #Resonite

Day 12 of #MMC. Today i didn't get to do much because of a medical emergency in my Family. But I still managed to fix some bugs. It's always something broken when you try to make stuff local to a user in #Resonite. The Engine is just too good at Syncronizing stuff lol. (In 95% that's good..)

Day 11 of #MMC. Today i worked on the hint display. This one is also (locally) moveable. Though only the vertical offset changes. General position and rotation is still fully managed by the Game to prevent it from getting lost. The hint displays also have animations. #Resonite #UIX #UI #UX
