Twitch Dual Format Preview!

Going to attempt to break up with Tiktok Live Studio. I'm so over that horrendous software. I've had stream key access for a while now, but I'm going to try to use it so I can use OBS to multi stream to both Twitch and Tiktok at the same time. I'm curious how that affects discoverability as well.

I'm a little late, but I've decided on one of my "new year's resolutions". I want to make better content. I've relied on hot takes and clickbait to appease the algorithms, which worked. Now I want to put effort into making quality stuff instead of the low effort slop I've been posting.

CES was... weird. I was hopeful to come back to be able to talk about some cool new tech, but the only thing that "wow'd" me was trying the Pimax Crystal. The rest of the show was endless robot vacuums and lawnmowers and "AI" nonsense.

I've went ahead and put Linux VR on hold again. However, I'm really excited to see it progress. It's almost ready. WiVRn/Monado is looking to be my future of VR instead of SteamVR. Better quality. Better performance. FOSS! It still has some issues but I trust in time they'll get it sorted.

Happy new year! No stream today. I've decided to dedicate my day to continue my Linux VR adventure. This is a journey but I'm enjoying it!

Seeing progress in OpenXR is super exctiting. After messing with WiVRn yesterday, I'm really excited to see the project progress. The image quality and performance was awesome. Still buggy, but it's so much better from when I last checked it out.

I have fluid in my ear canal and my doctor put a referral in on December 4th to an ear doctor to get it fixed. It's now DECEMBER 26TH and I still don't have an approval from the insurance company. I really feel for people with serious health issues that deal with this stupid broken system.

I deleted my Discord Group and VRChat Group. I apologize to anyone who enjoyed them, but I decided that I needed to do this for my own well being. I created the groups to create a sense of community, instead they were used as tools for clout chasing and other weirdness.

When streaming VRChat on Tiktok, stream *you*. Tiktok is a highly parasocial platform. People are more interested in chatting with you rather than watching you play a game. Put the camera on your face. Put some light music on. Watch and greet everyone even if they dont speak.

When people ask me what Linux distro I use and why, this is one of the main reasons. There are FAR TOO MANY CLONES of independent distros. Fedora isn't based on anything and has a great development structure.

My thoughts on the Steam Frame (deckard) so far. Everyone was expecting this headset to be something it's not. It looks like it's going to be a very good headset, but not a groundbreaking headset. This looks to be an excellent replacement for the quest 3 if you're looking to buy your first headset.
