Yesterday would have been my parents 46th wedding anniversary. Grateful every day my mum found the courage to run out that door.

What is even happening right now?

This past week has been really rather not great. So I framed this. Instant mood boost.

No brain cells. Only purrs.

Well today has been a write off. Woke up with a shrieking migraine. Brain feels like it's been scooped out, used for rugby practice then shoved back in. Only now it dosen't fit right and is pushing out my eyeballs. Feels spongy. And the nausea is the worst. At least I can use my phone now.

Had to go to the podiatrist. My poor toe has a dressing on. I keep singing 'My toe had got his hat on' to the tune of 'the sun has got his hat on'. Its that kind if a day🤷‍♀️

Someone keeps propping the fire door in my building open with a rusty pipe. I've nearly cut myself on it twice and it fell on my already sore foot. Not only does it make the fire door useless it also makes my heating come on cause it let's the cold in. I threw it in the bin this morning 🤫

I scored a ball of yarn in the auction and I have PLANS! No tangible skills. But plans. And enthusiasm 😁

Today's vibe

I'm rationing my OFMD themed tea like it's the last barrel of freshwater and I'm stuck in the doldrums. But I did let myself have a tea latte today. The Izzy one which has cardamom and back pepper in it. Sort of spicy chai vibes.

Had been going to do some recording today. But I don't have a soundproof nook to hide in and my neighbours are having a party. Sounds like anyway. I can't really hear my TV either at the moment 🤦‍♀️

Watching this weeks Great British Menu And its Wales this week. One chef has made a Black Cauldron reference (1st film I ever saw at the cinema) and now a chippy lane ref. I lived in Cardiff for 10yrs. I know chippy lane. Now I want chicken curry and chips.

My mum got to spend today in a tiara, having her hair brushed and told she was pretty. I too would like to spend the day with my 2yr old niece. Work sucks.

Survived my dental hospital appointment despite much anxiety. Do have to go back for a biopsy just to confirm but looks like an autoimmune related thing. To go with all the other ones. Gotta collect the set I guess. Now I have to get to work. May take some time on public transport😫

Just came across an ad for a company called Steady Hands Apparel. I think my brain goes in a very different direction than they intended.

I thought I was going to have to wait months for a referral to the dental hospital. But I was lucky enough to get a cancelation appointment for Monday morning. In Glasgow. And I don't drive. I'm sure the public transportation will be fine 😬🤦‍♀️

Now me is very happy that past me stashed fuzzy socks at work. Got so drenched on the way in but my toes are all snugly. Not looking forward to putting wet socks and shoes on to go home though😶

I'm so glad my mum is retired. She worked in the center of Glasgow for years. So did i.

Today I've managed to clean the kitchen, spruce up the balcony (swept, mopped, dead plants gone) and turn the living room from winter goblin hibernation mode back to functional space. Feel like spring is trying to sprung. Off to play along with Miniminuteman's Ancient Aliens part 2. Should be fun!

If you're doomscrolling, guess what? So far there are 51 kākāpō chicks hatched and thriving this season, the same number of birds as we had in TOTAL in the 90s! Only one chick has died and there are still fertile eggs waiting to hatch!

I saw the stamps and have much envy for those who can obtain them. Please see me calendar as proof of how much 🤣

They are little monsters. And I love them 💖

I just curled up in bed. Very comfy and listening to a podfic. Esme the cat leapt up onto the bedside table and knocked my tea all over the bed and all the plugs just under it. Had to jump up, strip the bed, try dry the mattress and topper. Guess I'm sleeping in the livingroom 😫

I have several other things I want to make. But my brain has developed a scrunchie obsession. So make them I must. What am I going to do with them 🤣 I only have one head.

Squee! I'm so happy this little fella made it to his new home. Officially the most ambitious embroidery I've ever attempted. (Please ignore his somewhat haunting gaze 😆)

My poor fluff boy. Apparently the fur loss is due to over grooming but not really a worry because there's no redness or inflammation. No bloods taken cause he was so distressed. Not even burritoing him helped. Have to take him next month gently sedated. If I can get him to take it.
