Seriously, you can have the most amazing art and have shit metrics bc you're bad at marketing, not bad as an artist. Ask yourself what makes YOU personally RT posts, what catches your eye, etc. Not all art you create is easily viewed on all sites or even all devices. (+)

🧵 Understand WHY you're posting your art. 📈If it's for numbers/gratification: You do you, hop on trends, but understand some creators won't want to engage with you because of differences in goals. 💰If it's for income: use metrics to gauge your MARKETING skills, not your value as an artist. (+)

I'd have the time and energy to learn and pursue creative hobbies, which I currently cannot do because my full-time+ job leaves me so drained every day that I frequently fall behind on basic household tasks. Downgrading to part-time work and having time for pursue learning again would be a dream.
