Something I love about the Deus Ex games, that I think might be sourced to tech limitations, is the sparsity of NPCs. They exist, but there's never really 'enough'. It feels always on the fringe of emptiness; rooms that little bit too big, spaces that little bit too empty. It's cold and lonely.

I will try Crimson Desert one day but it absolutely strikes me as a Cyberpunk/No Man's Sky situation where it'll get a shitload of high volume patches that add/enhance/polish the game to such a degree that the version at the end of all this will be markedly better than launch.

I genuinely can't believe this. I'm not even particularly keen on Crimson Desert! I really love Red Dead Redemption 2! But it's one of the most sluggish, animation priority, intentional by design games I've ever played in my life. So much so that Crimson Desert being more so would be catastrophic.

The thing I am most excited for in Dune: Part 3 is the hard opening black screen and ominous, gravelly messaging in Sardaukarian. That shit is sick as fuck.

When the time is right I cannot wait to go through Death Stranding 2 all over again on PC. I'm particularly excited for the To The Wilder mode. The enhanced difficulty will hopefully realign the challenge with something closer to the original, which is just a personal preference.

They should make a Spider-Man film where Peter Parker, while driving at night in the rain, accidentally hits and runs over a homeless man who wandered onto the road. Peter doesn't stop to check if he is dead, just keeps driving, and is then paranoid and haunted by the spectre of his actions.

At the tail end of MGS Delta and the experience had reminded me how much I love and miss tightly design single player games where each area/room is a small scale, hand curated puzzle or challenge, and there's less reliance on wide open playspace.

Jensen and co can argue all they want that devs have full creative control with no compromise to original assets with DLSS5 implementation. And maybe that's true. It doesn't change the fact the examples given during announcement are miserable examples of this balance and nuance. That's on them.
