It's a great day for Britain and the Labour Party today, what with the final passing of the Workers Rights Bill, the announcement of the investigation into foreign interference in our democracy and the first council financial settlement using the Fairer Funding formula, with a three year settlement!

It's a great budget for the country, and especially for working people, those with children, and young people. And also for pensioners. And small business. The right wing media will howl on tomorrow's front pages, of course. They'd rather see Britain fail than admit a Labour government's success!!

I joined the deputy mayor of Bury St Edmunds at the launch of Plug In Suffolk's Car Club today. Funded by all the leaders of Suffolk's councils, this is a trial for 18 months initially. Car clubs are a useful addition to the whole transport ecosystem, and can be a great alternative to owning a car.
