Since joining Reform, Offord has tried to distance himself from the right-wing rhetoric we’ve come to associate with Nigel Farage’s party, but these comments show who he really is. Such comments should not be tolerated. He should be utterly ashamed. I hope voters kick Reform into touch on 7 May.

🗳️ A busy week in @parliament.scot for the final full week of chamber business. ☀️ Having spent several late nights in the chamber in recent weeks, it was great to get out this morning with Green Tangerine volunteers for a beach clean along Cove Road and the Battery Park.

💉People considering non‑surgical cosmetic treatments will now benefit from stronger safeguards. I first raised this in 2018, this is a growing industry, hence why we need measures in place to regulate it. 📖 Businesses will be able to access free guidance to help them adapt to the new requirements.

Last night MSPs voted to reject Liam McArthur’s Assisted Dying for Terminally Ill Adults (Scotland) Bill. No matter how I voted, I couldn't please everyone, but after much consideration, I chose to vote against the Bill. I did not make this decision lightly. Read my rationale here: bit.ly/4lJlShK

🚝 Thanks to @snp.org, rail fares will be frozen from April. Having already scrapped peak fares, this will help with the cost of living crisis. 💛 We’ve shown what we can do with limited powers, now it’s time the UK Government handed over full powers over track & trains so we can complete the job.

🥀 Labour have abandoned WASPI women & are now trying to block disabled people in Scotland from having a say over the healthcare services that affect them. 💛 In sharp contrast, the @snp.org will continue to call for justice for WASPI women & champion disability rights.

🗳️ MSPs have passed the Non-surgical Cosmetic Procedures and Functions of Medical Reviews (Scotland) Bill at Stage 1 - taking Scotland a step closer to improving patient safety. 💛 These procedures are never without risk, so introducing measures to make them as safe as possible is key.
