🗳️ A busy week in @parliament.scot for the final full week of chamber business. ☀️ Having spent several late nights in the chamber in recent weeks, it was great to get out this morning with Green Tangerine volunteers for a beach clean along Cove Road and the Battery Park.

💉People considering non‑surgical cosmetic treatments will now benefit from stronger safeguards. I first raised this in 2018, this is a growing industry, hence why we need measures in place to regulate it. 📖 Businesses will be able to access free guidance to help them adapt to the new requirements.

Last night MSPs voted to reject Liam McArthur’s Assisted Dying for Terminally Ill Adults (Scotland) Bill. No matter how I voted, I couldn't please everyone, but after much consideration, I chose to vote against the Bill. I did not make this decision lightly. Read my rationale here: bit.ly/4lJlShK

👏 The Scottish Government have allocated £222,488 to Inverclyde Leisure for three new Changing Places Toilets to be built locally. ♿ I first raised the need for more CPTs in Inverclyde over a year ago after meeting parents of children with complex needs, so I know this investment will be welcome.

🧮 This #ScotBudget delivers for the people of Scotland with: 👶 More money to tackle child poverty 🩺 Record health spending 🏥 A new Port Glasgow Health Centre 📈 2% real-terms budget increase for councils 📚 extra £70m for colleges 👏 This is the @snp.org delivering for Inverclyde.

🧱 I welcome this UK Government investment but it's long overdue after decades of neglect by subsequent Westminster governments. 💷 Remember though, some of the £60m is to be delivered over 10 years & some funds were promised by the previous Tory Govt. 🥀 Voters won't be fooled by Labour.

🚧 I welcome the improvements to the A78 at Inverkip as they've made the road safer, but I disagree with this project being tied in with opening up the Inverkip Power Station site for housing. ❌ I've long opposed this proposal as I don't believe the road network could cope with upto 650 new homes.

🎉2026 brings exciting sporting opportunities for Scotland, but the election also presents an opportunity for the people of Scotland to decide their future. 💛I believe in a modern, progressive, socially democratic Scotland at the heart of Europe, so #VoteMcMillan & make it #BothVotesSNP.
