I often see gorgeous hangouts in SL (sadly) ending up becoming abandoned over time. Imho, the most important thing is to ensure you (the creator) make it the home for both yourself as well as your bestest friends, and keep spending time together there. Be open then to new include outsider folks.

My biggest pet peeve is that there's a ton of scam websites that are "Free QR Code Generator"s then the QR code stops working after a few days and then redirects you to ask you to PAY to re-activate it.
