Pigeon update: They stopped using the nest for the week after I posted this and I got worried they were abandoning it, but then they settled back in and there’d been one on near permanent nest duty for the last fortnight.

Dreamt that I was playing Splatoon for the first time in forever, but that somehow I had good *awareness* and was capable of not just running into every engagement. Dreams truly are fantasy lands.

A pair of spotted doves have built their nest directly by our dining room window. They were very well camouflaged and I didn’t notice them until Nico pointed them out to me. I’m now a delighted birdwatcher and cannot understand why my cat’s attention isn’t permanently taken by this new development.
