Would you believe me if I told you this update still doesn’t fix the unplayable arcade mode song on Xbox. Because that’s what happened 🙃

Accidentally reset my splits halfway through the run like a dingus, but after retiming everything, this ended up being a ~4.5 minute PB. Like always, still a lot to improve in here, but hey, I'm still pretty happy with this.

So not only did Escape from Ever After Any% make it in as backup, I'll also be racing Evoland Any% for RPG Limit Break! It'll be my first time attending, so I'm happy to be running (potentially twice, even) in my first Limit Break!

In a surpise to no one, the new Rift dlc features good music. Maybe I'll bump VA-11 Hall-A out of my backlog and actually play it sometime soon, lol.

One of my biggest VGM pet peeves is when official OST releases don’t include every song on them. I don’t care if an incidental song only plays once in the entire game or is only 20 seconds long, I want to listen to it too! (Yes, I’m listening to the Infinite Guitars OST again, how could you tell)

I’ve got no shortage of obscure indie games I can throw in here, but I’ll toss this in the ring. A Musical Story is not the best rhythm game I’ve played, but it offers a unique experience with interesting gameplay and music that’s basically a 70s concept album store.steampowered.com/app/1546100/...

Still not terribly happy with how this run turned out overall, but it's still a pretty sizable PB. A lot of fights went pretty poorly (plus a handful of tricks too), and my chapter 3 rng was quite literally the worst I've ever seen, but hey, the run continued alright at the very least.

Fun fact, half of the reason I played Emerald as a kid was specifically so I could transfer the Nincada line into my Gen 4 games

Decided to finally start playing some Unbeatable (on Xbox) and somehow managed to softlock the game in less than 2 minutes. That’s impressive even for me, lol

Unfortunately, this PB was not an improvement on the execution front, but route changes and new tricks saved all of the time here instead. Should've saved like 7-8+ minutes with them, but oh well, lol

It really rubs me the wrong way when the prominent response to a bad/overpriced rerelease is “lol, just emulate it.” If you wanted to emulate FRLG, nothing was stopping you from doing so for the last decade+. This does not help anybody who is unhappy here and does not address the actual problem.

Now THAT'S a lot better. Obviously this was far from perfect with a lot of timesave on the table (WR is under 2.5 hours), but I'm actually pretty happy with this for a second run. Fun game, great music, definitely not stopping here.

Holy dogshit, Batman! First run of Escape from Ever After in the books, and boy was it ever a first run. At least all of the fights went well, but I am not happy with how a ton of other stuff went in here. Guess that just means I've got to improve it all.
