After being held in two of them as a boy, I fought for decades urging America to never again build concentration camps and put human beings in them. It breaks my heart to watch this happen twice now in my own lifetime.

I came to Minneapolis to report on what's going on, and one of the main questions I showed up with is "just what is the scale of the resistance?" After all, we're all used to the news calling Portland a "war zone" or whatever when it's just some protests in one part of town.

Yesterday was a solid reminder of the worlds that shaped me. From childhood to early adulthood to now. I was surrounded by power. And power's projection upon me. Power in the world of Art. Power in the world of Spirituality. It started very early, my resistance.

The ordinary is extraordinary.

Attachment to maintaining certain identities can be the thing that is in the way. When we allow ourselves to let go of those identities, no longer requiring ourselves to maintain them, we create the opportunity to discover what actually works.

The “hero” is based on things going wrong. I am fascinated by the idea that if you do things right, no one notices, because the wrong never happened in the first place, therefore no hero was required. The whole hero concept to me is violent, a narrative of war...

I keep trying to be here, but it's really not my thing... I may give up.
