Just watched #TRON: Ares… Well, #TRON: Legacy was a masterpiece. But #Ares is not TRON anymore. A huge disappointment. Rather felt like a bad written fan fiction with good visuals and - sorry to say - at best a mediocre soundtrack by NIN. I miss #DaftPunk dearly.

Enjoying the first snow of 2025! 🐶❄️ Also, as you can see, #Oreo recovered from his eye surgery (due to glaucoma) very well. Latest check-ups also confirmed that he’s cancer-free! 😊 (he got a hepatoid tumor; both conditions occurred last year)

Two months ago I had my eye surgery. The healing process is VERY slow. Meds still cause heavy side effects like eye pain, high photosensitivity & blurry vision. Need to take those meds for six (!) more long weeks - at least. Last time my eye was not hurting was in late May. [1/4]

Health Update: Acanthamoeba keratitis proven; a rare parasitic disease, infection of the cornea, affects ~100 people in the US/year (Jackpot!) Healing process seems ok, but very slowly; taking 21 eye drops daily; left eye sight still very blurry, hurts, extreme photosensitivity 😣

I got back home from the hospital on Monday, still very powerless, but the pain is almost gone. The doctors are quite satisfied with my eye’s recovery so far. Also, I’m overwhelmed by your tremendous support! Thank you all so much from the bottom of my heart! I’m feeling very grateful today. 🙏❤️‍🩹

At the hospital, had an eye surgery (corneal abrasion) on Friday. Left eye got infected, probably a rare parasite-induced disease (Acanthamoeba keratitis). Never felt such a pain in my entire life. If I’m lucky I get home tomorrow and my eyesight will get back to normal again. 😔

#Oreo is back home & doing fine! A bit tired & sleepy, but apart from that our same big fluffy boy. It still hurts seeing him like this, but all that matters is that he doesn’t feel pain anymore & he can hopefully keep his other eye. (Pirate update due to sensitive content.)

#Oreo update: We brought our little boy to the animal clinic for surgery today - his blind eye suffering from glaucoma will be removed tomorrow. 😢 Unfortunately, we weren’t able to decrease the internal eye pressure with medications anymore, which caused him pain and… [1/2]

Oreo update: After almost 2 months of worrying, we finally have some good news: Oreo's CT scan revealed that the tumor probably did not metastasize. We can hardly put in words how happy & relieved we are. 😄 Thank you all so much for your get-well wishes & standing with us! ❤️‍🩹
