This 5 months ago; now we know; Nottinghamshire Leicestershire & Glamorgan plus some of the v best one day knock out matches & finals. We have something very good; I think an opportunity to further grow with imagination & flair has been lost but it’s still there to enjoy together. Roll on April.

Anyone seen any updates regarding next years schedule? Information last night that votes were due in by Tuesday night but some had been told there could be an extension till Wednesday. An announcement made next Monday 🤷‍♂️ Good luck with keeping that in-house.

Anybody out there like me watching the One Day Final? My most enjoyable working days this summer were covering the group stage. Sad to see so many empty seats. But hope for a good game to cap the competition.

Ready to roll

Overthinking again 😞 Why was yesterday so good. It was about our favourite clubs playing cricket and not money or global tv audiences. It was cricket with substance. Today another international which is about money & Phil Salt may ‘thrill’ again but it won’t touch the sides of yesterday.

Regardless from here; it’s another win for county cricket today in Birmingham.

Can they really do this?

A South African involved in the current t20 international series allowed to play in the ECB t20 blast finals day but England players aren’t.

Each to their own but the exhilaration of a catch like that one and wickets always trump sixes for me.

To those lucky enough to be at Blast finals day today, working or watching I hope the weather holds and the games are the best. I’ll be watching trying to ignore all the jobs need doing at home. The quarter finals have certainly set a good stage for the day.

If it goes quiet later; we won’t be long but wish myself and Churchy well in our auditions. Church doing Manilow I’m doing Diamond; not Anne.

As we enter the last few weeks of the Championship season we still don’t know what relegation and promotion really means! I will spend the weekend trying to find a word or phrase I can broadcast to describe that situation.
