Today’s grievances: Closed the guest room door while making beds and Poppy could not get in and “help”. Extensive grooming session, removal of the weight of 1 Franklin in fur.

In the past, I have heard people say "I don't know if that person should have a golden retriever because they have a small apartment and those dogs need space." And as counter example, I offer what it looks like in our house when someone goes in the basement for 2 minutes

Husband and child are staining our fence and deck today. My favorite moment was when the kid came upstairs and I asked how it was going. He said, “Well, I guess there’s a reason they call it stain.” He did not elaborate, and I did not inquire further.
