Air Purifiers and Acute Respiratory Infections in Residential Aged Care A Randomized Clinical Trial. Air purifiers with HEPA filters in residentsâ rooms didnât reduce the incidence of ARIs. Reductions in ARIs in those who completed the entire study were demonstrated.
