The ICE facility in Burlington is also brutal. Just this week, 3 people were arrested for trying to bring food to those being detained there.

These protests and direct actions are not just symbolic. People are responding to masked kidnappers storming local homes and businesses to steal families. ICE is kidnapping children at immigration proceedings and separating them from their parents. They kidnapped a 4th grader from my city.

This is a vitally important point to remember. Big force displays often reveal deep weaknesses—and a profound self-awareness of them.

Reports like that of the LA Times are why streamers were pleading with the public to not believe the media spins. They put out fires ICE started. They treated victims wounded by ICE. They didn’t run over ICE. ICE ran over them. The media spins. We all know who the threat are.
