Tore through Silksong over the weekend and just hit credits. I personally really enjoyed it, maybe more than the original, especially as it starts to pick up after a fiddly start.

Work has been a shitshow this year and I think it's only a matter of time before I need to plan my exit. Industry is in such a horrid state right now. The sooner the AI bubble pops (and it will), the better for everybody.

Much needed weekend of reprieve with good food and good animals.

Promise this'll be the last XIV post for a while, but what a tier! Might be my favorite since Eden. Refreshing to see the formula shaken up to this extent and a willingness to explore gameplay elements I thought they long abandoned. Faster mechs, less downtime, and so, so much more for tanks to do.

m6s down last week, and m7s down today. Might be through the tier by next week? Mostly out of my comfort zone as a first-time tank (usually heal), but I've had a ton of fun and I'm with a supportive group.

I volunteered for a deferred resignation, which will be the end of my 18-year career as a Fed. I do data engineering, data viz and business intelligence primarily, have a bunch of experience in full stack web dev and will shamelessly mooch referrals. Multiple awards from a cabinet secretary!

Hydroplaned badly last night at 60 mph and collided with the interstate guard rail. I’m so lucky I wasn’t hurt and that there were no other cars near me, but my car is in bad shape. Pretty rattled, but it could’ve been so much worse.
