Keep a sketchbook. Draw in it often. Make scamps. Collect your ideas. Doodle. Stick stuff in it. Old sketchbooks are diaries, records of our development, repositories of ideas and looking back over old sketchbooks is like looking back in time and if someone pulls the plug out, it's all still there.
