I cooked today. It was my signature dish (tuna pasta bake). As ever I made two "two person" portions so we are having it tomorrow as well. I really need to learn how to make something else. 😂

On this day in 1992 I sold my entire (but not quite complete) Doctor Who Target novel collection to raise the train fare to London (sub £50 at the time IIRC). There are no regrets.

Awake since silly o'clock due to the other half having a long bike ride today. Debating whether to grab a nap or get up and drink lots of coffee.

I almost managed to not do anything productive today (yesterday), but I did end up painting the inside of some display crates. Tomorrow (today) involves lots of productive tasks, a lot of which will be abandoned midway through.

I have finally risen from my pit. I am hoping that the only productive thing I do today is the washing up. Once I've had my coffee I'm curling up with books and magazines till the other half gets home from his ride.

Painting lots of wooden bits today. Most stuff was simple block colours but I enjoyed getting messy with this chap. He may end up on a shelf, or he may earn his keep modelling some bits of jewellery for me.

Another lovely day, even with the weather and tram debacle getting home. There's lots of cheap chocolate in the fridge, i have things to paint and a new pen, plus we had amazing sausage rolls for lunch. Tomorrow will be all about recovering from two fab days.

I am tired and super achy but I've had a brilliant day. Hoping to sleep well tonight.

I really should be asleep. I'm out later, the alarm goes off in a couple of hours. I've had some sleep but not enough. Can't seem to drift back off. One more try, before I give up.

Up early to watch the rescheduled Snowboarding at the Paralympic Winter Games. There's a strong cup of coffee to hand and a confused cat on my knee.

Popped to Liverpool today. Just on the train back. Had lunch with a friend over from the States, did a little shopping and visited my old place of work.

Oh yeah - final results of embroidering the jeans. Not perfect but not bad. They may get their first outing tomorrow.

Got up earlier than I normally would on a Sunday to watch the Paralympic snowboarding events today. There were a fair amount of "ooofs", "ooooohs" and "wows" uttered. Thoroughly enjoyable. Now back to organising the music hard drive.

Sorting out my music files, mostly so I can stow the hard copies under the bed. It's going to take a while.

There's no reason for me to still be awake. Well maybe I had more coffee than usual today. Off to try again to nod off.

So, couldn't get to sleep. Just as I think I may nod off the neighbours bang about and put their washing machine on. It's 3.30 am. The washing machine is pretty noisy and shakes the whole house when it gets to the spin cycle. I have given up on sleep.

Trying to decide whether to go mad and put lots of embroidery on the jeans or keep it vaguely subtle. Concentrated on decorating the pockets today. The two surviving patches on the back pockets(the rest fell off over a few wears and washes) have been added to with embroidery and fabric paint.

60 YEARS AGO TODAY: The Bonzo Dog Doo Dah Band make their TV bow on Blue Peter.

Jacket is done. Front and back. My blanket stitch is appalling. Lord knows if I'll ever wear it in the wild, maybe on special occasions.
