I think I'm getting to the point where I've been doing what I'm doing for around 20 years. I'm toying with writing the book of the stories I've never really told now, for a whole bunch of reasons. Conscious that a few things over the last few months have got under my skin. Might be time. Mulling.

I've read two new magazines over the last two days with white text on red backgrounds. I'm very very happy to pay to support magazines, and will continue to do so. But please, designers: make it readable! Reformed sinner here, etc. I got a long letter from a reader that utterly changed my view.

Very sad that I felt I had no choice but to resign from The Infinite Monkey Cage - a victory for the transphobes and other bigots - I did it because so much of the media has chosen to believe the kind and empathetic people are a fiction - they are real and so often unrepresented.
