I reread Emma regularly, and I realised this time that I identified more with Mr Woodhouse - with his desire to stay in, to be warm and cosy, not be to surprised by new things – than with any of the young women and their intrigues. Not sure if that’s age, wisdom, or #longcovid… #emma #janeausten
