Reading the Christmas and Other Horrors anthology (as one does), and my favorite part is the little blurb after each tale where the author talks about their inspiration. My FAVORITE favorite part is @sgj.bsky.social ‘s inspo, “what if sometimes people take their heads off?”

Currently reading this and it’s so good so far! I’ve had a favorite story picked three times and I’m three stories in. Pick it up while you can.

Okay I’ve woken up with that “Boots” Kipling poem recitation screaming in my head for the last three days so I guess the 28 Years Later trailer did its job.

My current project has warped into like, Turn of the Screw but in the backrooms? Anyway, catch me waking my dog up so I’m not the only one conscious in the house 😂.

I know it’s not a huge deal and anyone can do it, but seeing myself on goodreads has been one of my personal “actually doing this” points and I’m just SO thrilled. 😭

What’s your favorite? Mine is Pillar of Salt. That story does something really special for me (probably because I have agoraphobia, but hey.)
