A friend has changed his opinion on Climate Change from "it's not happening" to "it's happening but it's not us". Funny how people believe climatologists about historic changes, but not when they say this is different and it's us! I doubt anything will change his opinion; he "knows" he's right.

Apparently, a single hedge can contain thousands of creatures. Through the year, the mushrooms, blossoms, catkins, flowers, berries, sloes, acorns + hazelnuts this hedge supports will provide a succession of banquets for wildlife + people. And some of those wild creatures will hunt each other.

And that's just one tiny stretch of hedgerow - imagine the food + shelter for wildlife if more of our incredible network of hedges were laid + restored.

If the AMOC (think Gulf Stream, for the UK) breaks down, cereal growing in the UK will become very restricted. It's very clear that not nearly enough attention is being paid to this. We urgently need UKGov to open a dialogue with the public to scotch the nonsense about Net Zero being unaffordable.
