Daughter working & OH has taken van to garage for software update, so I have house to myself. Have done yoga, now sitting down to sew mending a jumper & a pair of trousers. Waiting in for builder & also someone coming to test an artex ceiling for asbestos. Oh the joys of trying to move house.

Off out to a concert, an hour and a half’s drive each way. This is why we rarely go out to a concert.

Ye gods, the rain😳

Gave up on (very) wet Wales and came home yesterday. Have resumed marmalade making. Currently simmering whole fruits. I leave them to cool overnight, so tomorrow is the boiling and hope it sets day.

Half an hour of yoga done. Wish woman on the video looked a bit more like most of us, pretty sure her size 0 frame allows her to bend much more.

Have found the decorations for the Christmas Cake and Yule log. Could have done with finding them a month ago!

Today is shaping up to be, in no particular order, lose a car so room for log truck, stack logs, buy onions, book hotels in Belgium and buy car insurance. Sighs.

Really fed up with the car parked opposite house for past half hour with its engine running 😏

Celebrating OH being retired for a year. Everywhere serving decent food is closed Mondays and Tuesdays so opening a bottle of bubbly instead now.

This is one of those it seemed like a good idea at the time. Drinking water and must drink more when I wake during the night. Have to post my (for medical research) blood tomorrow & it’s being taken at 6.00! am by nurse daughter before she goes to work - as I am too squeamish🙄 to use a lancet.

Drove to RHS Rosemoor this morning. Got there, couldn’t🙄 find membership card. So turned round and drove home. Found membership card on ground in puddle where we park car at home. Car hadn’t been used for 10 days or so it gave it a run. Heigh ho.

Have spent past two days slowly filling out conveyancing questionnaires on solicitor’s online portal thing. Just one more to do today, the what are we going to take and what are we going to leave one.

The nurse has just set off for work and I am wide awake.

The cheese fridge has been deployed 🎄

Have asked friends round this evening for drinks and snacks. Seem to have got a bit carried away and have got nice cheese (well tis the season) made salmon terrine, salads, and blackcurrant cake is in the oven.

It’s the little things. Just tidied saucepan cupboard and found hidden at the back jars of homemade jam, marmalade and chutney. Result 😊

For once it isn’t Evri. 4th day of waiting in for Royal Mail to deliver a parcel as their tracking showed it would be delivered Friday, then Saturday, then Sunday🤷🏼‍♀️, then today. They have just emailed us saying failed delivery as we weren’t in today. Outright lie. Grrrr😡 Will wait in again tomorrow.

2 hours of gardening done. Go me.

My tangle teezer is still mislaid. The only one I can find is the cat’s, and I’m not using that! I’m going to have to buy another one. And then I’ll find the missing one🙃

Rain. Again 😏 Need to get up and at ’em.

This evening I’ve had an on & off ’chat’ first with a bot, & then a human, about a card charge I don’t recognise. Card now cancelled and new one on way. So I am now at stage where I’m hoping it is fraudulent because I’ll feel awful if I’ve got it wrong & it’s genuine. Aargh. Stress.

Back home now. Lovely week away in Wales and Derbyshire. Tomorrow it’s laundry and life admin.

Gas bottle ran out this evening and we had to change it in the dark and the rain. Fed up with the rain.

It’s a 5 and a bit hour drive to up north so I’ve got the sat nav and a podcast going and the satnav women seems to have precedence over Joanna Lumley.

I am £6 better off for remembering to use a Black Friday code to renew my yoga app subscription today. Mind it was still £10 more than last year🙄
